The Earwax is a pickup item that was cut from the final version of Daikatana. It was intended to be in era 1200.
The model was implemented in the pre-alpha, however the effects were not coded as the Siren was not added, and the only reference to the item's effects are in an early design document from John Romero himself.
A unique feature was that this item was going to have permanent use - insisting that it could be used for a short time with a cooldown, and was probably stored in the player's inventory.
