Musilde was in hiding since the Buboids have ravaged his village. He is one of the last surviving uninfected people in the town, aside from King Gharroth and the minions of the evil wizards. His brother had been imprisoned in the castle dungeons when he tried to warn the King about Nharre.
He is hiding in the warehouse of a church until found by Hiro Miyamoto and his team, who try to calm him down (even though he thinks that Superfly Johnson is a "Wolfman"). He tells the travelers that the wasteland was a normal town until the rat population grew, a mysterious disease affected the villagers, and King Gharroth was approached by the evil wizard Nharre, who started controlled him and made him a tyrant.
Given a Book of Old Songs, he will play one in the organ that will activate a mechanism revealing one of the three Rune Stones that unlock Gharroth's castle. Before entering the gate, Musilde gave the team his family relic, and noticed that Mikiko Ebihara has a sign of the plague.
He has developed a cure to the bubonic plague, and he saves Mikiko Ebihara's life after she catches the disease. After King Gharroth's defeat, Gharroth asks Musilde to spread the cure to the afflicted townsfolk.
